DJ Bob (Bob Norris)...
50yrs young...looks good in tux...golf nut...Chiefs fan
Married with 4 children, 3 grandchildren, & one bird.
Wife, Nancy, says, "I don't know where he gets the energy. Audiences love him because he really cares."
I first performed before a live audience when I was 10 years old. My band and I played the song "Kicks" by Paul Revere & the Raiders at a talent contest in the basement of a church. We didn't win, and to this day, I think we got robbed.
Throughout Jr. & Sr. Highs I played guitar and sang for many people and many different venues. My friend Craig and I were the chosen performers by Piper Jr. High students for their spring dance in 1974.
After leaving school I began my disc jockey career. I played for venues and events I was not prepared to play for during those early years. I made alot of mistakes in both music programming, sound reproduction, and planning. Today that's why I can spot an inexperienced DJ.
Wedding receptions became my forte'. There's a satisfaction in doing a great job for a nervous Bride & Groom that, after all these years, I still crave.
Playing music for others, live or prerecorded, is one of the joys in my life.
I turned 50 this year. I plan to entertain until I'm 65, take a week off, then begin my reunion tour. I will play music until the Lord Jesus returns or takes me home. After that, I plan to be sharing music forever with the saints.
Hope to see ya there!
Musically yours...DJ Bob
